I just bought a leotard.  I may or may not regret this decision.

But it was only $3.95 on ebay and it was American Apparel.

Which is my new addiction, as long as it is cheap and on ebay.  Here’s my two steals today.

TOP EVERYTHING!

birdbirdbird:

listI love to make lists. When I was in a boring class during grad school, I would present a facade of engagement by scribbling lists instead of class notes. I made lists of bands I’d see (long one), traffic tickets (also long), foods I don’t eat (short) and the hundred blocks of every major Chicago street from Madison to Howard (long-ish…and yeah, I know them all by heart). So when my beloved A&E editor at Chicagoist told me we wouldn’t be making any year-end or decade-end lists this year, I died just a little bit inside.

But I’m a resilient Bird, and I shall prevail. So here I am to make lists for you, unhindered by silly things like editors and deadlines. Sometimes I’ll explain my choices, sometimes I won’t. If you’re here, you’re good with the Webz so just look shit up.

Which one should I post first: Most Underrated Guitarists of the Aughties or The Most Embarrassing Albums I Really Liked (of the Aughties)?

Lists!  Yes!  I currently have a list of bands to check out, designers to by from, christmas presents to purchase, doctor’s appointments to make, etc. etc.  the list goes on.  A list of lists.  What’s wrong with me!

This will never cease to be funny in the world of myself and my little brother.

What to do?

So I just got a bonus of $100 for being the top sales person last month.

Do I save it in the event I have a bad month this month and make no money?

or do I buy the necklace of awesome:

Do you ever wonder why they put flowers and butterflies on toilet paper?

Sort of emasculating, don’t you think?

I need to take some advice from Jarvis Cocker these days.

Photos I shot at There Will Be Awesome.

It was awesome.

Stuff I think about in the shower.

As if I could focus on work today as it were.

I met Davy Jones once.  He’s shorter than you think.

Ketchup is amazing.  ON EVERYTHING.

It’s strange that the Irving Park post office has been flying the flag at half mast for at least the past three months.  Do they know something I don’t?

the end.

And this is my new favorite band.
